PUBLIC NOTICE – DRAFT UNIFIED PLANNING WORK PROGRAM (UPWP)
The Hagerstown/Eastern Panhandle Metropolitan Planning Organization (HEPMPO) hereby notifies all interested persons that the proposed FY 2025 Unified Planning Work Program (UPWP) for the Hagerstown, MD-WV-PA-VA Urban Area, that is in Washington County, MD and Berkeley and Jefferson Counties, WV, is available for review and comment. The UPWP identifies transportation planning activities for highway, transit and other related services that are to be conducted during the 2025 fiscal year in the metropolitan planning area.Copies of the draft UPWP are available online at the website www.hepmpo.net; on display at the Washington County Free Library in Hagerstown, Martinsburg-Berkeley County Library, and the Charles Town Library.
The public comment period will begin on Friday, April 12, 2024 and end on Tuesday, May 14, 2024. PUBLIC NOTICE – DRAFT TRANSPORTATION IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM (TIP)
The Hagerstown/Eastern Panhandle Metropolitan Planning Organization (HEPMPO) hereby notifies all interested persons that the proposed FY 2025-2028 Transportation Improvements Plan (TIP) for the Hagerstown, MD-WV-PA-VA Urban Area, that is in Washington County, MD and Berkeley and Jefferson Counties, WV, is available for comment and review. The proposed TIP identifies more than $100 million in projects for highway, transit and other related transportation services that are planned to be constructed or implemented over the next four years throughout the metropolitan area. This public participation process for the TIP also serves to meet the Federal Transit Administration public participation requirements for the Eastern Panhandle Transit Authority and the Maryland Transit Administration’s Program of Projects (POP).Copies of the draft TIP are available online at the website www.hepmpo.net and on display at the Washington County Free Library in Hagerstown, Martinsburg-Berkeley County Library, and the Charles Town Library.

PUBLIC NOTICE – DRAFT REGIONAL SAFETY ACTION PLAN (SAP)
The Hagerstown/Eastern Panhandle MPO hereby notifies all interested persons that the DRAFT Regional Safety Action Plan covering Washington County MD, and Berkeley and Jefferson Counties WV, are available for comment and review. The DRAFT Plan is a comprehensive safety plan aimed at reducing and eliminating serious-injury and fatal crashes affecting all roadway users.
The public comment period will be from April 12 to May 14, 2024. Those persons wishing to review the draft study will find copies on display at the Washington County Free Library-Hagerstown, the Martinsburg Public Library and Charles Town Library, download a copy at www.hepmpo.net, or may request a copy by contacting the HEPMPO office, located at 33 W. Washington St., Suite 402, Hagerstown, MD 21740. Business hours are 8:00 am to 4:00 pm.

A formal presentation will be posted online and given at the public meetings.
