The Hagerstown/Eastern Panhandle Metropolitan Planning Organization (HEPMPO) is the federally designated regional transportation planning body for the urbanized area covering Berkeley and Jefferson Counties, West Virginia, Washington County, Maryland and a small portion of Franklin County, Pennsylvania.

REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS
HEPMPO is requesting Technical and Financial Proposals from qualified consultant firms to provide general service assistance in several transportation planning related areas. Submittals must be received no later than 3:00pm EST on Wednesday, July 1, 2020. Click here for more information.
The Hagerstown/Eastern Panhandle Metropolitan Planning Organization (HEPMPO), in partnership with the Eastern Panhandle Transit Authority (EPTA), hereby notifies all interested persons that proposed service recommendations in the Draft Transit Development Plan are available for review and comment.
EPTA is currently undergoing a Transit Development Plan effort to better utilize existing transit resources and determine ways to expand public transit coverage within and beyond its existing service area in Berkeley and Jefferson Counties, WV over the next five years.

The public comment period will begin on Monday, May 18, 2020 and end on Wednesday, June 17, 2020. The Hagerstown/Eastern Panhandle MPO hereby notifies all interested persons that the DRAFT I-81 and I-70 Transportation Systems Management & Operations (TSMO) Plan is available for comment and review.
The Draft TSMO Plan is focused on non-capacity adding strategies to enhance operations along I-81 and I-70 in Washington County. These strategies fall into three categories: geometric and safety improvements, traffic flow/signals and intelligent transportation systems (ITS) expansion.
