The HEPMPO releases the Draft FY 2008-2011 Transportation Improvement Program for Public Comment
04/18/2007 - The Hagerstown/Eastern Panhandle Interstate Council hereby notifies all interested persons that the proposed FY 2008-2011 Transportation Improvement Plan (TIP) for the Hagerstown-Martinsburg, MD-WV Metropolitan Area, that is in Washington County, MD and Berkeley and Jefferson counties, WV, is available for comment and review. The proposed TIP identifies more than $125 million in projects for highway, transit and other related transportation services that are planned to be constructed or implemented over the next four years throughout the metropolitan area. The public comment period will begin on Wednesday, April 18, 2007 and end on Tuesday, May 22, 2007. Those persons wishing to review the draft document may request a copy by contacting the HEPMPO office before Friday, May 18, 2007. The office is located at 80 W. Baltimore Street, Hagerstown, MD 21740. Business hours are 7:30 am to 4:30 pm. Copies may also be obtained at the Eastern Panhandle Regional Development Council, Region IX offices located at 400 W. Stephen St., Suite 301, Martinsburg, WV. Business hours for Region IX are 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. Questions and all written comments should be directed to Robert S. Gordon at 240-313-2437. Only written comments will be accepted. All comments must be received by no later than 12:00 Noon Tuesday, May 22, 2007.
