The HEPMPO hires an MPO Director!
06-26-2006 - For the first time in the HEPMPO's history, a full time MPO Director has been hired! After a nation-wide search the Interstate Council of the MPO appointed Robert S. Gordon, of Hedgesville, WV as the new MPO Director. Mr. Gordon has over 16 years of experience in the transportation planning field. He had been working at the Eastern Panhandle Regional Planning and Development Council, Region IX for the last 8 years. As part of his duties with Region IX, Mr. Gordon worked closely with HEPMPO on transportation planning issues in the region. "His intimate knowledge of transportation related issues in this region will be an enormous asset to the MPO as we continue to move forward," said Greg Snook, president of the Interstate Council. Mr. Gordon's employment will become effective on July 1, 2006.
